For my big brother

Tuesday 3rd Dec
On October 14 of this year, my oldest brother took his life. He was 53. 

Through this devastating loss, our family is left with this giant question mark. How could this have happened?

Of all the deep conversations we have had with all of our family over the years, no one asked, ‘are you having suicidal thoughts.’

For him, for all of our loved one’s choosing to leave this world…you are not alone; you are loved unconditionally. 

The ocean is my sanctuary; where I find peace and clarity, and she is mighty cold. I gladly dip in honor of those lives taken by suicide. May we help a pain so unimaginably difficult become gentle love and support.
